Message Set your high and low octane maps to be the same and run the test again.

I am thinking that even tho it goes from say 20 to 24 it will drop right away to 20 again then start dropping from there.

Also the JWT 555 program has more data in it than the standard stage III chip. Ask Russell to send you some ECUs that have new programming.

It would be good if someone with consult tool could see what timing was being seen on a JWT ECU.

BTW I am not saying what your program is wrong I am saying that JWT is doing may not be wrong either.

JWT runs what 4 degrees of less timing than you by default your low octane map starts 4 degrees than the high octane map. Isn't that what you said or is it even more?

thus this what I am thinking will happen

Count JWT ASH
1 24 27 <-knock detected
2 23 26 <-knock still detected
3 20 23 <-knock still detected
4 24 19 <-knock still, switch to low octane map are registers reset?
5 16 15 <-knock still being seen
6 12 11 <-knock still being seen

So timing is still being aggresively being changed. Actually its very close to each. And on the high octange map it is better because you are at a lower timing value regardless.

I still don't believe that JWT has the same map for high and low octane. Sorry but you have a vested interest in saying something like this (it like someone saying wanting to sell me some beach front property in Arizona and saying come on you can trust me that is good). When I get a chance I will make a call to a few people I know see if this actually true.
